3rd International Mycobacterium ulcerans Conference (IMUC-III)
20-22 November 2024
Ian Potter Auditorium Kenneth Myer Building, The University of Melbourne
The 3rd International Mycobacterium ulcerans Conference (IMUC-III), hosted by the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Mycobacterium ulcerans in partnership with the Doherty Institute, returns to Melbourne after 25 years.
Buruli ulcer is classified by the WHO as a neglected tropical skin, and is reported in more than 30 countries worldwide. Somewhat surprisingly, the state of Victoria in temperate southeastern Australia has some of the highest numbers of Buruli ulcer in the world. This conference will unite global experts to raise awareness, address research priorities that will reduce the impact of Buruli ulcer and other neglected tropical skin diseases everywhere.
The organising committee invites all those working on or interested in M. ulcerans regardless of career stage to join us in Melbourne from 20 - 22 November 2024.
