3rd International Mycobacterium ulcerans Conference (IMUC-III)
Abstract submissions open
The Organising Committee is now inviting abstract submissions for the 3rd International Mycobacterium ulcerans Conference (IMUC-III) from 20 – 22 November 2024 in Melbourne, Australia.
Submissions are invited for:
- Oral Presentations (10 mins + 2min Q&A)
- Poster Presentations
All submissions for oral presentations will be automatically considered for a poster presentation. All poster presentation submissions will be considered for a rapid presentation.
Whilst every effort will be made to accept an abstract for the nominated presentation format, the Organising Committee reserves the right to allocate a different presentation type if appropriate.
Key dates
Abstract submissions will close on Friday, 31 May 2024 at 11:59pm AEST.
Travel bursary applications will close on Sunday 31st of March 2024 at 11:59pm AEST.
Submissions after this date will not be accepted.
Abstract themes
The Organising Committee invites abstract submissions for the following themes:
- Where in the world is (and was) Buruli ulcer
- Reservoir and Transmission
- Pathogenesis and host response
- Diagnostics
- Antibiotics and treatment
- Vaccines and prevention
Abstract Requirements
- Submissions via email will not be accepted.
- All submitters must be registered to attend in-person to present.
- You are more than welcome to submit for more than one theme. If you are submitting to several themes, please prepare an individual submission for each. Presentation offers and results will be advised by email in late May 2024.
Travel Bursaries
Eligibility criteria
- To be considered for a travel bursary ($2000 AUD) you must submit an abstract.
- Only full-time students or post-doctoral scientists working or studying in LMICs and LDCs are eligible and will be prioritised for consideration.
- To confirm you qualify please refer to the DAC list
- Travel bursary offers will be advised by email in May 2024.
