WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis re-designated by WHO to 2027
After first receiving designation in 2015, the VIDRL based WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis is pleased to have been redesignated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for an ongoing four-year period, spanning to August 2027.
The centre, led by director Professor Benjamin Cowie and staffed by a multidisciplinary research team, will continue its work supporting the WHO in strengthening epidemiological, public health, and laboratory capacity in the region, as progress is made toward the elimination of viral hepatitis as a public health threat.
The centre is excited to continue its work with the support of the WHO and to continue collaboration with colleagues in the Western Pacific and South East Asian regional offices.
