Associate Professor Natasha Holmes is an Infectious Diseases Physician at Austin Health and Mercy Perinatal, and also a Senior Research Fellow at the Data Analytics Research and Evaluation (DARE) Centre at Austin Health.  She is a clinician researcher, having completed PhD and postdoctoral studies in Staphylococcus aureus bacteraemia.  She has expertise and specific interests in serious S. aureus infections, antibiotic allergy, perinatal infections, travel medicine, medical education, and data analytics, and is an active member of the Clinical Research Review Committee at Austin Health. 

  • Key Achievements
    • Associate Professor Natasha Holmes was previously supported by NHMRC postgraduate and early career fellowships for her doctoral and postdoctoral studies and was a recipient of a Veski Victoria Fellowship.  Her publications reflect the diverse range of research interests.  She is actively involved in medical and pharmacy education, and currently supervises clinical trainees, medical students, and data science or clinical MPhil and PhD candidates.  She continues to collaborate with local researchers in a range of observational and investigational studies, clinical registries, and translational research.
