Megan holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Bachelor Science (Biotechnology), as well as a Master of Biotechnology from the University of Melbourne. She is currently studying a Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne whilst working as a technical support officer for COVID-19 activities at the Microbiological Diagnostic Unit Public Health Laboratory.

- Megan was part of Defence Science and Technology Group’s Summer Vacation Scholarship Student programme in 2017, where she worked on a research project involving the use of tandem mass spectrometry for bacterial detection. Megan was given the opportunity to present her findings at the 2017 Defence Student Conference in South Australia.
