Associate Professor Maryza Graham


A/Prof Maryza Graham is a Clinical Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases Physician at The Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL) and also at Monash Health, Victoria's largest health service. She plays a role supervising the Victorian Mycology Reference Laboratory and the Parasitology and Bacteriology Laboratories at VIDRL with a special research focus on emerging and novel diagnostics.

  • Key Achievements
    • Maryza completed her medical degree at The University of Melbourne (MBBS). She is a Fellow of The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and of The Royal Australian College of Physicians. She is a member of the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance 'Controlling Superbugs' Study Group. Maryza has been a member of the RCPA Microbiology Advisory Committee for twelve years, the ASA National EUCAST Committee for 6 years and the Public Health Laboratory Network. She is currently Chair of the National RCPA Selective Reporting of Antimicrobials Guidelines Committee.
