Leslie is a Project Manager with the Department of Infectious Diseases, University of Melbourne, and RMH Guidance Group. She currently manages a 5-year $7million MRFF funded project ‘Appropriate antimicrobial use: scaling surveillance using digital health’ (MRFFRD000113) on behalf of CIA Professor Kas Thursky, and a 5-year $5million NIH funded project ‘Does repeated influenza vaccination constrain influenza immune responses and protection?’ (1R01AI141534-01A1) on behalf of PIs Associate Professor Sheena Sullivan and Dr Annette Fox (WHO Collaborating Centre for Reference and Research on Influenza).

  • Key Achievements
    • In 2020, Leslie completed her PhD on optimising antimicrobial use in aged care homes with support from the National Centre for Antimicrobial Stewardship (NCAS) and the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety (CMUS), Monash University. She has many years of experience undertaking research studies with older Australians, and a special interest in ethical issues and infectious diseases in aged care.
