VICNISS Coordinating Centre developed and implemented a system used by the public sector residential aged care facilities to record both process and outcome monitoring of daily clinical screening of residents and COVID-19 and influenza testing. This tool has been developed with the aim of having utility beyond the COVID-19 pandemic as a monitor of daily clinical screening of residents and subsequent actions. This system captures summary data collected as part of the Safer Care Victoria COVID-19 Resident daily screening tool, where aged care facilities submit data on COVID-19 and influenza tests, results, and record if a resident’s care was escalated.
