Caroline attained her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) degree from Monash University, marking the beginning of her professional journey. Subsequently, she pursued a Master in Public Health at The University of Melbourne, specialising in health program evaluation. Caroline is a senior antimicrobial stewardship pharmacist and project officer at the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Guidance Group. She has extensive experience in clinical infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship and the development of software programs to assist in hospital antimicrobial stewardship programs and improve the quality of antimicrobial prescribing.

  • Key Achievements
    • Caroline has successfully spearheaded the implementation and management of the National Antimicrobial Prescribing Survey (NAPS) program for over a decade. NAPS serves as a widely embraced auditing platform, with data contributions from over 80% of hospitals in Australia and a growing number of aged care home sites. She also established the first antimicrobial stewardship service at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.

      Caroline is a senior clinical subject matter expert in the development of the Guidance antimicrobial stewardship software application, currently utilised in over numerous hospitals across Australia.
