George Taiaroa (PhD, MRSNZ) leads a research program focused on the identification and characterisation of infectious diseases through next-generation sequencing and related approaches. He has been a Research Fellow at the Doherty Institute and held an honorary role at the Royal Melbourne Hospital's Victorian Infectious Diseases Reference Laboratory (VIDRL) for more than five years. He is a member of multiple national and international research projects.
