Viral Infectious Diseases | Now recruiting volunteers
Are you interested in being part of an RSV vaccine study?
The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity is calling for volunteers to participate in this study to help to determine whether an investigational vaccine helps to provide protection against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) in different populations.
RSV is a highly contagious virus that impacts most people and in mild cases presents like a common cold. However, RSV can cause more serious respiratory illness, mainly in older adults, young infants, and adults with chronic diseases. Like influenza, RSV is seasonal, and most cases typically occur in the winter.
