The Melbourne TB Community present World TB Day - New approaches to end TB
The 2024 theme, Yes! We can end TB! recognises and commends the global response to date, following on from political commitments made at the September 2023 UN High Level Meeting on TB. While much has been done to overcome recent setbacks, more needs to be done to meet the ambitious global targets to eliminate TB.
We have the key elements to END TB within our reach - political commitment, knowledge, research and community action. However, new tools and approaches are still needed to turn the tide to meet the END TB targets. These in turn, need to be applied more effectively, and at scale. The MTBC will explore the potential of new tools, frameworks, and approaches in TB and how they can be best applied for maximal impact.
