This half day symposium features local and international experts who have developed innovative new ways to translate “big data” in various forms into tools that help us to understand the spread, impact and future threats of infectious diseases, ranging from malaria to Ebola, influenza and antibiotic resistance. The use of “big data” by policy makers in Australia (including Indigenous communities) and internationally in guiding treatment or prevention policies will be discussed. Please contact Kirsty McPherson with any enquiries.
