The Doherty Institute was established to harness the expertise and skills across the University of Melbourne and The Royal Melbourne hospital to find ways to prevent, treat and cure infectious diseases. To capitalise on the resources available within the Doherty Institute, the Collaborative Seed Grant Scheme was established. The scheme offers two grants each year to foster collaborative research among Doherty Institute researchers and/or key partners within the Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, to enable the development of larger scale collaborative projects in the future.
